This K&N filter replaced a different brand chrome filter from a major bike parts supplier. It's been leaking all of last season, not much, just enough to cause occasional drips. Tightening did not help, removing and cleaning contact surfaces and relubricating the seal did not help. The K&N was started this spring and I've driven several hundred miles without a leak. It looks like more oil is leaking as well, but that hasn't been tested. I only noticed more oil in the heads when I removed the caps to adjust the valves. The K&N is definitely worth a few bucks more, at least to me, and I will continue to use it.
