I was looking for a vest/backpack that was designed for long distance hiking without spending too much. I like being able to easily access items (headlights, snacks, compass, map, etc.) without removing the backpack, and the front chest pockets on it, along with the waistbelt pockets, looked like a good way to go. well designed and appears to be well made. My only complaint was that it was too small for me. I'm 6ft 3in, 180lbs and have an athletic build. While I think I could get the backpack and chest straps to work, the hip pockets were so far back that they were really hard to reach. If it was 25% more I would buy it immediately. Until then I will look or spend more money to buy one of the famous brands.
