Good karaoke microphone for home use.

I bought it specifically for home karaoke. This is a small setup that has been a lot of fun for us since we started it about 1.5 years ago. The karaoke setup became more popular due to the pandemic, we still wanted karaoke and the only place we could do it was at home. I used my computer mic (a Blue Yeti condenser mic) and sent the audio straight to a vocal-only speaker (a Bose Rockin Roller Mini). It worked but I always had to worry about feedback and it was still better than nothing. I decided I wanted to add some reverb to karaoke parties and bought a tiny mixer (a Behringer Xenyx 1202FX) and this mic. There are reviews that say there is an audible noise during operation, I noticed it immediately when testing. Another thing I noticed is that I still get feedback, the speaker I use is aimed straight at the singer, the mic is only 5ft from the singer so it wasn't a surprise the feedback listen. . After adjusting my mixer settings and turning the midrange control down, I was able to get the mic working with no noticeable feedback, effects, and at a good volume level and with minimal noise changes during operation. Noise during operation will go unnoticed once the music starts and actively sings. For my first home cardioid karaoke microphone, I am completely satisfied with this purchase. I would recommend it to others for home karaoke use, I would not recommend it for professional use or even just for conversation, with no background noise the noise will be noticeable during use. Will I buy again? This thing could be great for an intro mic, but I think next time I'll spend a little more and get a Shure SM58 as the main mic and this one as the background mic. I can change my mind after using it a few times. If you are looking for a good budget microphone for karaoke at home then I would highly recommend this one. I wouldn't recommend this for professional use or for those of you who just want to use it for calls, the noise is just too noticeable.
