Review on ๐Ÿ“€ Sony DVP-SR510 DVD Player with HDMI Port and NeeGo Slim HDMI Cable by Patrick Carlson

Good HDMI DVD Player, Simple

I chose this to watch some old movies I have on DVD. It's basically my favorite 300 DVD movie that I don't have in any other digital format other than DVD for some reason. Since I didn't have a DVD player with a real HDMI connection, I decided to give this one a try. Overall the installation was very easy. I literally just plugged it in and it worked. It's a regular DVD player with no Wi-Fi, apps or anything like that, so it has nothing to do with it other than playing movies. It's upscaled to 1080p and the movies I've watched definitely look better than the original. However, my TV also has upscaling, so I'm not sure if it's the new TV technology or this DVD player that makes those old movies look so good. The DVD player came with a thin HDMI cable and I decided to use it to connect it to my TV. The cable worked as expected. Anyway, 1080p isn't a problem for HDMI, so it should still work. All in all, this little DVD player helped me and we will use it for other DVDs in the future. The small body means I don't waste a lot of space in my entertainment center.

This player would not sync with a new Sony TV. The picture was a blurred image.
