I just bought a new i7 Mac mini after selling my iMac to save some money. I didn't realize that a 6 year old new Mac wasn't as good as my old one. I was extremely disappointed with the graphics performance, since I use 3 screens to work and the integrated graphics can hardly keep up. Games were out of the question - jumps and stutters were so severe that games were unplayable. This plugs in, daisy chains my Apple Thunderbolt displays (using the Apple Thunderbolt 2 to Thunderbolt 3 adapter) and runs with no issues. integrates effortlessly and plays games like a champ (to make sure you're using an eGPU, right click on the file - file info - prefer an external GPU) It works like a champ!
