In the last few phones I've bought I've tried other brands at a lower price but at the end of the day I always come back to the OtterBox Commuter Series. It's a bit bulkier than some other manufacturers' best cases, but it's grippy in all the right places and doesn't appear to be as stained (like it scratches easily) as the others. Other falls were just too slippery. The front rubber edges are also higher so they better protect the edge of the glass. The fact that there are port covers is another bonus. With wireless charging, I almost never have to open the charging port, so why not close/secure it. Others say Samsung Power Share doesn't work with this case, but for me it works great. You just have to turn it on on your phone, it's not automatic. I love my OtterBox case!
