I ordered this turntable to put in my daughter's bedroom, she's into vinyl and retro/jewelry and "She loves this record player. She thinks it looks very cool. The sound of this player isn't that bad. I mean, it doesn't sound like a good stereo with speakers ten feet apart, but like I said, it's not so bad. Basically it sounds like a pretty decent old school boombox. Design wise this player is pretty good. It's almost all metal so it's very durable. I think the only problem you might have is is the cartridge/needle. All cartridges/needles may need to be replaced. However, I am sure that the exchange will only take a few minutes. But luckily, you don't even have to think about it for years. If you are looking for a retro style turntable, I think this is a good choice. I love it, my daughter loves it and we both think it looks pretty cool.
