Well made and seems pretty accurate

This infrared thermometer feels good in the hand, easy to aim with a very bright laser sight and has a clear and colorful display. It is important to read the instructions to know how to use the device correctly. Understanding the emissivity concept is important to get accurate results. Not all surfaces radiate energy equally, in the form of thermal radiation, and this device must be told the emissivity of the material in order to calculate the temperature correctly. The instructions provide an emissivity table for common materials, and you use the value in the table to set the thermometer's emissivity configuration parameter accordingly. You will find that the standard value works well for many types of ordinary surfaces, but metal surfaces often have a very different emissivity from the standard value, so consult the attached table again, especially if you think the temperature reading is off too far . Photographs showing a comparison of the temperature of the air surrounding a dark carton with a calibrated instrument and the temperature of the carton measured with an infrared thermometer. As you can see the readings are close together and the error is within the published accuracy of the device. If this was a helpful review, could you click the helpful button below? Thanks very much!
