Issues with dual port KVM switch

Worked fine initially. I have two laptops and two monitors connected to a KVM switch. One monitor is connected to the connection box via VGA, the other via HDMI. After about a month I'm having problems with my HDMI monitor. It couldn't connect and I kept getting an out of range message on the screen. I unplugged it from the KVM switch and plugged it directly into my HDMI port on my laptop and it works great. Now I'm getting a horrible "No Signal" message from the monitor as if the port on the KVM switch has failed. So only the VGA monitor works with the KVM switch. Too bad. It was cool when he worked.
