Unscented. Packed in plastic but odorless. When we were kids we had a new plastic soap that we used to prank guests. This product was meant to be a joke, but it was no different than those bars of soap - no scent, no suds. I couldn't figure out how to get my money back before the deadline. Worst purchase even though Aveda is one of my favorite products. Since the soap has been discontinued I suspect the soap must be very old. Let the buyer be alert.
