When you're making this repair you're going to need pins and a crimping tool and if you spent that $30-40 you might only spend $40 and end up with only a $40 one cable assembly instead of /connector (link below). Replacing pins on wires isn't as easy as you might think, even for those experienced with cables and connectors.
