UPDATE 1 year later. Because it's inconvenient to connect and disconnect every time. I only use it while driving for 20+ minutes. Because of this, I usually listen to the channel closest to my FM station, which turns out to be a Christian radio station. Unfortunately, this device helped me realize that I could go to hell. My old FM transmitter turned itself off every time the car was turned off. This one stays on and sucks up all the battery power it can do. It's really annoying when you forget it and go in and your phone is still connected outside - no sound. Or if you forget it and leave it in your car overnight, it can drain a lot of battery power. The only time I did that the doors wouldn't open when I pushed the key and I had trouble starting my car. It works well, but be aware that you have to turn it off every time you get out of your car.
