I've never met a dog that likes to cover their paws and walk normally in boots or socks. However, my dog injured his paws and needed a bandage and I bought this shoe to try and protect his paws while they heal. He wore them willingly, but refused to go far. When he decided to go forward the shoes didn't fit for the hind legs so they kept falling off (all 4 shoes are exactly the same). While they seem to be some of the best, just be prepared to add them to your box of dog supplies you don't use because they don't work (I'm looking at you, soft cone and gentle linen harness). .
