Review on 🧶 Enhance Your Crochet and Knitting Experience with the 6 Pack 2 Size Metal Yarn Guide Finger Holder Knitting Thimble by Amy Mcleod

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Spring for a slightly more expensive version

I've been wanting to try the Norwegian two tone knit thimble and although the recommended brand was only six dollars I saved money when I saw this pack of six. with variable sizes at almost the same price. Unfortunately, the slight differences between them prove to be the difference between fit and not. The smaller size was too small and the larger size was too big. The instructions for bending with pliers are useless - for one thing, the wire is so strong that even with pliers and jewelry pliers I barely moved the direction of the yarn feed loop. Second, there is no way to change the shape of the tube/body itself. I tried to bend down to open the smaller one or pinch a large one, but to no avail. Most importantly, the body has the same diameter at both ends. The Dritz version is a graduated tube that is wider at the base and narrower at the distal end so it fits snugly. Even if the Dritz is a bit too big for me, I can fix it properly thanks to the cone design. (Note: I made a felt collar so it would sit closer to my fingertip) Go for the Dritz instead.

Pros
  • Good value
Cons
  • Mature model
