I tried using this on some small cracks in my ceiling. All directions followed and even smeared with mud to hide the edges even better. After about a week, the tape started blistering and peeling off the wall. Good thing I only primed and didn't apply the last coat. I end up tearing most of it apart and starting with a more traditional crack repair approach.
