I have purchased this watercolor notebook from Hobby Lobby a number of times and have found that its size is not very popular. However, the size doesn't really bother me and I used an Xacto knife to trim it to my preferred size when needed. The paper itself is great, it warps a bit if too much water is applied, but overall washes pretty well. With this paper it's VERY easy to lighten the color when I need it, so that's a bonus if you make a mistake or want to lighten the color for the effect you want. If you are concerned about this when painting, be sure to use a good quality soft brush and allow the previous coats to dry completely before adding a new coat of glaze. Finally, the paper has a very nice texture if you like it. I really like Strathmore's 400 series article and her visual journal is *awesome* - if you're interested in learning more about this article I'd suggest checking it out and experimenting with different techniques. I'm sure you will be satisfied. :) PS- I have attached some drawings I made on this paper. :)
