Review on Canon 24 70Mm 2 8L Standard Zoom by Firash Hakimi

Revainrating 3 out of 5

There are disadvantages, but the product is usable.

I did a lot of research before purchasing this lens, including reading and looking at all of the reviews available, and I found that the vast majority of people are quite satisfied with it. After 18–55, a lot of people were talking about some sort of super-sharpness, which was something I had been yearning for for a very long time. Nevertheless, everything wasn't quite as cheerful as it seemed at first glance. Those who, like me, have always used a lens equipped with a stabilizer will have to take some time to get used to and adjust to the new lens so that their images are not blurry when taken indoors or in the nighttime. At 70mm, the minimum shutter speed should be at least 1/160, and the ideal shutter speed should be 1/200; however, the ISO is already quite high there. The rough autofocus misses were, however, the greatest source of dissatisfaction. Even in the bright sunlight, approximately three out of ten images had a focus that was completely off, while four to five out of ten had a focus that was close but not quite accurate. On my previous 700D with a whale 18-55stm, there was not as much marriage, and it becomes uncomfortable when you realize how much money you paid out for the mark IV + 24-70 2.8 combo. I took it in for service twice, and on the first occasion, they determined that it needed a 24-millimeter back focus based on the settings for its programmed autofocus. The second time I applied, I had already submitted some misses, but sadly, as the master had previously stated, this is an acceptable norm and is not treated. I'll just give one piece of advice: before you buy such a lens, make sure you rent it. I'm sure it won't simply work for many people because it's very specific, and the reviews in my case played a cruel joke on me. Renting it first will help you determine whether or not it will work for you. When I'm shooting indoors, the flash is my savior—there is no compromise with it—but when I'm out and about, I miss a lot of opportunities to get amazing photos.

Pros
  • Continuous luminosity, dust and moisture protection.
Cons
  • The absence of a stabilizer, shaky autofocus, missed shots, and the high price.
