I bought this tent for my 6 day trip down the Colorado through Canyonlands and it performed as expected. Easy to set up (instructions in stuff sack) and take down, it did well in a fierce wind and rainstorm that lasted around an hour with no leaks or problems. I didn't backpack it but it was compact and lightweight enough to do that and am very satisfied with my purchase (altho I'll never use it again and never sleep on the ground again either) and would have no problem lending it to cousins or nieces and nephews or friends kids for their adventures. Like always, you get what you pay for and I figure that with regular use it probably will last at least a couple of seasons or more, but then again it wasn't $350 and I'm never gonna use it again.
