Great set for the price

I'm not an avid horse rider going up and down the mountains through the woods at night. I drive about 9 miles one way to and from work on city streets and for that purpose I think this light kit is great for the price! As I said, I'm a street racer, this light is perfect for me on the road. I don't know how he'll behave in total darkness, but he's great on the streets of Chicago. Both lights, rear light and headlight, have two different functions: flashing and steady light. I'm a big fan of strobe lights simply because the eyes are drawn to movement and I reduce my chances of getting hit if I use these strobe lights day or night. The headlight is very easy to attach. You simply loosen the screw, open the ring and attach it to the desired location on the handlebars. The downside of the headlight, and maybe I'm just mounting it wrong, is that it dims the light if you press the button too hard. The taillight is very bright and unmissable, but it comes with a cheap clip and the other method of attachment is not as easy as a headlight. It has another way of attaching the tail light but I've been too busy to play around with it. The rear light is the reason I give this set 4 stars instead of 5. You can mount the taillight to your bike frame, but it takes a little more ingenuity. However, if you only use one clip, make sure you find a way to secure it or you risk losing it! I covered the clip with an elastic band. Looks a bit strange, but protects my flashlight and doesn't reduce its effectiveness. Price.

Cons
  • Big and bulky
