Nice rear, broken front

Love the taillights and bought a few more to use exclusively in Paris-Brest-Paris, RAAM and other 780-3000 mile races. They last a long time with Li AAA. I don't like the headlight. All three broke contact after 1-2 months of driving and the light went out until the cover was unscrewed and screwed back on. then the same again a few km later. Not very comfortable! So consider 3 stars as a combination of 5 stars (back) and 1 star (front).

Pros
  • This is amazing

  • Not automatic

Protect Yourself

A headlight and taillight that attaches to your bike so you can see and be seen. These bright and focused lights protect you while driving at any time of the day. I haven't used any other lights so I can't give you a comparison but this is the second set I've bought (for my wife's bike) and I'm willing to buy a third set for the new one I bought. bike for my son. The headlight is easily and quickly attached to the steering wheel. A screwdriver is required to mount the rear light. Both lights…

I'll look for a lighter one.

Rear flasher is good - easy to install and quite bright. However, the headlight is rather disappointing. It's hard to understand how bright something is based on other people's comments! For me, the headlight just isn't bright enough to get the job done. It is very effective as a warning to oncoming drivers, especially in flashing mode. But it illuminates a rather small circle of the road ahead and not very bright. I have a Princeton Tec 1 headlamp that I use a lot on camping trips and it is…

After 2 weeks, neither the front nor the rear light work.

First off, the tail light is terrible. There are so many different patterns that it takes forever to go through them all to turn the damn thing off EVERY time. But to make matters worse, the screw holding the light was of such poor quality that the light didn't stay in one place but kept falling off. Not sure. At first I really liked the headlight, especially the blinking. The front light looks high-quality and I would give 5 stars for the front light alone. Until the batteries died and when I…

Reasonable Affordable Easy Easy

I bought 3 of these kits for 3 different bikes and they were all easy to install. All lights were in good condition. For my son's bike that has the seat all the way down we installed a red turn signal on the left rear fork, the swivel function made it easy to mount to the side but flipped to face the rear. Light works great after 3 months. The Beamer 1 is great for visibility, it's not very bright but we mostly ride in a well lit area and not heavy traffic - it dimly illuminates the path but…

Decent price but bracket is broken

I bought two sets of these lights, one for my bike and one for my wife. Both lights are bright enough for others to see. The headlight is bright enough to improve late evening or night vision, but if I was going to rely entirely on my headlight in these conditions, I'd like something brighter. Installation is easy and the included brackets work well. I've attached my tail light to the bag under the seat and it hasn't fallen off yet. My wife fell on her bike which broke the headlight mounting…

fairly bright, durable

This is a very good kit for night city driving on well-lit streets. Drivers are more likely to see you. it is not enough for the driver to see well on dark roads or paths. LED lights are efficient; I've had it for over 2 years with my first set of batteries and it finally seems to be dimming, it's time to change the batteries. The tail light is just as good as many of the more expensive ones. I have two of these taillights and a flashing 1/2w Planetary Bike Super Flash on my bike. Honestly…

Great set for the price

I'm not an avid horse rider going up and down the mountains through the woods at night. I drive about 9 miles one way to and from work on city streets and for that purpose I think this light kit is great for the price! As I said, I'm a street racer, this light is perfect for me on the road. I don't know how he'll behave in total darkness, but he's great on the streets of Chicago. Both lights, rear light and headlight, have two different functions: flashing and steady light. I'm a big fan of…

Useful for getting noticed but not seen by others

SHORT SUMMARY: I like this product enough to put this combo on all six bikes in our family. They attach easily to the steering wheel (if you understand the mechanics), detach easily, and do a good job of helping others see you. However, don't expect to use this headlight to illuminate a dark street at night. There are six reasons I love this set: 1) LED lights are much more energy efficient than the old fashioned incandescent bulbs I used before. grow up. Saves money when changing batteries. 2)

  • Great price
