This is a very good kit for night city driving on well-lit streets. Drivers are more likely to see you. it is not enough for the driver to see well on dark roads or paths. LED lights are efficient; I've had it for over 2 years with my first set of batteries and it finally seems to be dimming, it's time to change the batteries. The tail light is just as good as many of the more expensive ones. I have two of these taillights and a flashing 1/2w Planetary Bike Super Flash on my bike. Honestly, this flashing 3-LED taillight is just as good as the more expensive 1/2W super flash taillight. I once had a headlight stolen from my bike because it was easy to detach. I bought a duplicate replacement because I really liked the set. Bought the same set for my wife's bike as well. I would definitely recommend it for viewing by motorists, I wouldn't recommend it for viewing in dark, very poorly lit streets.
