I bought this air purifier for my bedroom because I'm expecting twins and I want clean air for all of us. I liked the sleep mode because it was so quiet, but I was wondering how much it actually cleans up when it seems like it's barely working. The high settings are very noisy, so I would never run them at night on those settings, and the low ones are so close to sleep mode that I could barely tell the difference. I agree with others that there should be a medium mode. My biggest complaint is the smell. As soon as I turned it on, it gave off a strong plastic/toxic smell that irritated me and made me wonder how healthy it was for me to breathe air! Shouldn't an air purifier make the air cleaner, not smell it? For this reason I am sending the cleaner back. Even if it's something that can go away, I can't live with it until it's gone. I was really hoping this would work, but now my search for a small room cleaner that works well from day one continues.
