The cover is not a frame.
Plate frame - top. Was looking for one to surround the plate but didn't read the reviews. This is an overlay and the plate just sticks out (see fig.). We'll look for another one. It also had a slight inward curve at the top and bottom. Was so cheap it wasn't worth going back. The metal, on the other hand, is high-quality and durable (despite the bracket). It will be interesting to see how the chrome cover holds up until I find a new one.
