Throw Your Collegues for a Loop!

So, I saw that some had issues with the loops for the lacing. I sew. I loaded my machine with upholstery thread (the heaviest thread that a regular home machine can handle) and reinforced the seams that hold the lacing loops as well as added additional stitching @ each loop. The only way these are going to go is if I'm attacked with scissors. It could happen. I have a strange job.The other trick that I've learned is to use double-sided satin ribbon. You can still lace and tighten but won't deal with the issue of "sticky lacing" (lacing that won't move with you during activity or just sitting). After I got all of that done including washing the garment, I donned my awesome new top that my hubby appreciates me in because I look like a character out of Assassin's Creed. He's not wrong, but that really wasn't what I was going for.I stopped @ my last Iocal Mega-Supermarket (it's Texas and ours is the last, accessible supermarket on before Galveston Island) to grab a couple bottles if wine to share with my fellow weirdos aka friends. One of my colleagues saw me when he was grabbing beer. Now, they send me quests. I'm a good sport and snagged some D&D dice as well as consult my oracle aka Magic 8 Ball.I still need to wear it when we have a casual clothing day.

Pros
  • Great for Halloween. Not high-end fabric by any means. Runs small. This is NOT a dress.
Cons
  • Fits smaller than expected.
