I've been watching this for a few months. After watching video reviews on YouTube, doing a little research about the company, reading reviews here, etc. I finally decided it was time for me and I'm so glad I did. I've used Zojirushi and love it. The biggest issue I had was that there was no auto shut off feature and it only held 5 cups. This Moccamaster solved both problems. The brew cycle is faster than I thought it would be, but that doesn't affect the taste of the coffee. I prefer lighter coffee, so I use one scoop less than recommended and finally enjoy the taste of black coffee without cream. The footprint is smaller than I thought, which is good. It's also lighter than expected as I was expecting something heavy. There are 2 things I would change immediately. One of them is the angle at which the pot can be removed. Since it's a vacuum jug, it doesn't really matter, because once the coffee has been brewed, the jug doesn't have to be in the niche anyway. Another issue that seems to be common to ANY MANUFACTURER OF ANY APPLIANCE THAT HAS A DETACHABLE COVER FOR ACCESSING THE WATER TANK, I would add a handle or handle to the cover for easy and hassle free removal. I glued one to it as shown in the second picture. I've read the negative reviews and I can't help but wonder if people felt buyer remorse. This is total extravagance, not a necessity. Finally, the $49 Keurig gives you a cup of coffee. I'm glad it's covered by a 5 year warranty but I hope I never have to use it. Highly recommended.
