This is the worst paper shredder I've ever had

I bought this shredder to replace the Office Depot shredder I've had for over a decade. The price for this mill was good. I know when a manufacturer says they make 10 blades, that actually means they make half of them. It says he makes six. I only feed two leaves because three leaves are annoying. Not in this case. This paper shredder failed after five weeks. I've never overheated it. I grind what I've always ground. I don't abuse it. It would stop in the middle of a piece of paper. I would try the other way around to no avail. I lifted the top and checked for paper jams, couldn't find any, put the top back on and then it finished shredding the paper. Now you don't even need a piece of paper to shred. i throw it away UPDATE: Instead of throwing it away I decided to take it apart and fix it. I opened it up, took a metal toothpick and needle nose pliers and removed the jam. It works. It gets stuck about once a month and I take it apart again. Here are some tips: 1. Don't buy it, don't even think about it. 2. If a "friend" gave you one, only make one piece of paper at a time. Tear the paper in half and insert half of the sheet into the center of the feed slot. It takes up the entire width, but when you open the device to clear a possible jam, it is easier to clean the middle of the blades than their ends. It will fit in a standard sized business envelope (size 10) but you will need to unfold the envelope as the envelope is technically two sheets of paper. 3. The paper must be clean and free of sticky things like mailing labels. 4. At this point you know not to try a credit card.5. See #1
