I've been using canvas grocery bags for almost 30 years, when the military asked shoppers to stop using plastic bags! I'm fairly familiar with the different sizes and designs, but these bags are MUCH better than any other bag I've ever used. They look solid, they are more spacious, they like pockets and wider handles. They stand upright even when empty and easily fold away when not in use. The bag holds more without being too heavy, glasses/small items are protected by pockets. Even the packer at my grocery store commented on how good the bags are - easy to pack! I haven't washed them yet and will probably let them air dry when I do. Mesh pockets are useful for many purposes. , I know I will definitely appreciate them in my house and also in my suitcase for storing small items or grouping similar items. I have already ordered another set and will definitely consider these bags as a handy and practical gift for my friends and family.
