What's the best waste in indoor air quality meter

You know what might be a pretty good product may get a bad review instead. Let's start with the good. It works out? yes yes it is To test this, I placed the unit in my laser case, left the exhaust fan off, and started the laser to burn a few circles into the wood (produces smoke). The HI-300 was within 2 feet of the laser and almost immediately began degrading the air quality. It was red in seconds. I then turned on the exhaust and watched the HI-300's air quality improve. Only after the laser finished its work did they return to normal values. A similar test I ran was to leave the enclosure door open, turn off the exhaust fan, and monitor the room. Another test where the monitor is placed closer to the end of the exhaust port. All scenarios showed that the HI-300 could detect poor air quality. Good start! Now for the bad. This is a big part of Huma-I's promotion of this product and it sucks. And they know it. Yeah, don't like dealing with anything 5GHz, got it. It's just stupid to be honest. Limiting to 2.4GHz is a bad choice these days. But ok, ok. My home network supports both and the app doesn't work with them. This is a mesh network where both networks have the same name. This is not an issue with other "2.4GHz only" products that I own or have tested. 5 GHz is practically filtered. Huma-I doesn't seem to be able to do this, which amounts to sloppy programming. When I select a network, the app shows two networks with the same name instead of the only one it can connect to. It also shows nearby 5GHz networks. It doesn't matter which of the two options I choose, registration always fails with error codes xxxx, 1010, or 1000. I contacted Human-I to get the app working but the issue was not resolved. The only way I could get this app to work was to create a 2.4Ghz only hotspot from my phone, connect the tablet to the hotspot, and then run the app from the tablet. I thought maybe I could then change the Wi-Fi settings to reconnect to my network. nope To do this, you need to go through the same non-working registration steps. (rolls eyes) Look, I can't knowingly give a good review for a product that has serious problems with half of what it claims to be. Maybe if they fix their app, which I suspect they don't, I'll update this review to something more positive. Rare Gem. 4 Star - Good/Excellent - Has a lot in it, if not perfect 3 Star - Good - Not bad, but nothing special Little Star Number 1 - Don't walk away, run away - No redeeming qualities

Pros
  • PUSH NOTIFICATION AND ALERTS - When the air quality changes from good to bad or from bad to good, the air quality will be notified with a push message. You can also use the alarm function to monitor air quality.
