About five years ago I installed a double walled Williams stove in a rented maisonette. Recently the tenant called and said the oven wasn't working. I went there and couldn't get it to work. The indicator light came on, so no problem. Sometimes soot builds up on the thermocouple, preventing it from generating enough current to prevent the gas control unit from working properly. Pulled out the old one (it just pulls out), cleaned and put back on. Do not go. This often means that the thermocouple is not working. So I went to the Home Improvement Center (Big Orange) where I bought an oven but of course they don't sell replacement parts for the oven they sell. The guy went online and found this. He said it was a replacement. So I ordered it. I installed it and it works great. Bought another one just in case. They never wear out when not in use, so I guess I'm fine. Workshop visit saved.
