Review on Case Cooler master Q500L Black by Stanislaw Gluszek ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I would definitely recommend the purchase, I don't think there is anything wrong with it.

I accepted the challenge of relocating the contents of a full tower, most of whose components were manufactured more than a decade ago, into a smaller container. Everything turned out okay in the end, though through sheer chance. Here's the important bit: The video card I want to use in the top pci-express slot is longer than 270 millimeters, but my 180mm-long ATX power supply prevents me from doing so when put at the very edge of the case. Fortunately, the motherboard supports sli and can accommodate my 280mm video card. However, it appears that the wires protruding from the PSU are not taken into account here, and they can significantly interfere with the installation of video cards measuring less than 160mm. 2. Someone in the reviews mentioned that it wasn't clear whether it supported two 3.5" drives or four 2.5" drives, so I'll say it again: my version supports either two 3.5" drives or four 2.5" drives. The power wires from the power supply were barely filled, and my old straight and L-shaped sata cables were linked to 2.5 in a very uncomfortable manner (I put them in the upper section). Putting the disks at the back wall is a good starting point, but they clearly haven't been planned out for 2.5. 3. The attractive photo panels are magnetically affixed to the chassis. I still don't know if this is good or bad, but one thing is for sure: lugging around a block is a pain. Overall, I'm pleased with what I received for the money, as I was able to get rid of a massive, cumbersome tower without having to upgrade the filling to something more current and compact.

Pros
  • Very compact, yet spacious
Cons
  • Since the case is so compact, it stands to reason that it will be more challenging to install and connect components than a larger case.
