I bought the original in 2006. With a little help from sewn-in reinforcements, it lasted me until 2021. Hope it lasts a long time for me too. I immediately felt the difference as soon as I started wiping it down with a new one. Nice and plush. Of course, the old one was pretty worn out, to say the least. The mop head is made from a different type of cotton yarn than the old one, in a loop rather than a single thread. With long yarns, the new one often loses a loop that has to be shortened from time to time. However, the price was great and I actually got a good mop for the price that fits my old handle and does a great job cleaning those dust balls.
