Now my favorite hobby is checking headphones. I mostly stick to the budgets (ie less than $50) but have expanded a bit. They're firmly in the non-budget camp. Mating - pairs easily and stays paired. When you take the earbud out of your ear, your music will pause, but the music will resume once you put the earbud back in. Instructions - oh my god - the instructions were terrible! I'm pretty sure whoever wrote them thought they checked everything, but they really didn't. Anyway, it's not clear. First, the instructions are written on orange paper, but are written in white, meaning they're very difficult to see in bright light. There are also many pictures showing what to do, but they are not always clear. FYI, the ear image doesn't mean "ANC mode" to me. And the ear with the cross next to it? I figured that meant turning them off like this. The controls are fine - there should be a law that play/pause is a single tap. That's the way it should be, and it annoys me when it's not. But here are the controls: - Single press = Volume - Double press = Play/Pause - Triple press = toggle ANC on Ambient to Off - Long press for 2 seconds = change track - There are also phone-related images - I think Tap will answer the call twice or hang up. And maybe a 2 second press will reject the call. - Press once, then hold for 2 seconds to do something with the microphone. No idea what, but this is what the picture looks like. FYI - Instructions are better on the product page. The latter should apparently activate your voice assistant. Looks like I hate it. Not me. I just hate instructions. Which is unfortunate because someone probably did a lot of work on it. Battery life is average for headphones. Probably a little less if you keep ANC on all the time, convenience comes in very handy. They come with 5 different silicone tips but the ones already on the earbuds are perfect for me. ANC - Seems to work fine. I can't tell much of a difference between the modes, but most of the sound is still blocked. The delay is amazing! I don't notice any lag between mouth movements on my screen and voices. If you're a gamer and need to hear when the steps start, this will work surprisingly well. The sound quality is pretty good. Things weren't tinny and the bass, while strong, didn't distort the other beats. I clearly heard different instruments. TL;DR: These are actually pretty good headphones. The sound is good and the ANC works, although I don't think the Ambient Sound setting really lets that much ambient noise through. They're comfortable and there's no lag (or at least no noticeable lag). The instructions look very nice, but are incredibly difficult to read. They're also a bit confusing - the product page on Revain is better. There is also a small lanyard in the box which is very nice.
