I thought, like you, 5 stars from all Yes, that's right! I just got this thing, opened it up and let me tell you something: GET READY FOR A HEART. I didn't know what the black button was for, I haven't read the instructions yet (I'm male) and wow my soul almost left my body it's so loud. Very solid feel/construction. Very durable construction. No plastic, solid metal. Comes with 2 really cool remotes that seem to work great. I am charging it now, so it is not fully charged when you receive it. Even the remote controls are metal. Both have batteries. I have read the instructions and understood everything. It's very easy to read the instructions and just adjust the sensitivity level to set the vibrating alarm. It's the same or louder than a car alarm. Sensitivity is set to maximum by default and once you set it by pressing the lock button, it's ready to use. The slightest movement makes it explode and make LOUD! Nobody runs away with this alarm without someone hearing it. Worth every penny. Even if it takes a year or two, it's worth it. I am impressed. You may need to tie that suction cup for an extra attachment, but who cares. You can notify people of your arrival or simply get people's souls to leave your body when you are near them. I attach it to my electric scooter. The seller's website states that the remote controls use CR2 batteries. Not sure what's in the horn itself but it's covered but remote controls if you need extra batteries this is a 27A-A27 battery.
