This product does exactly what I need. I can slide it gently onto the sofa, or unfold it and tuck it under the coffee table, raising the surface. This comes in handy when I'm working in the living room, as there's enough space for my laptop, a few other things, and yes, coffee. If you want something decorative, keep looking. As the name suggests, this is "industrial". I ordered this item with a top that was supposed to be a little brown but closer to black. slight irritation; The top was a little scratched but not so bad that I had to send it back. Assembly was easy. Tools are included and all screw/bolt starting holes are properly aligned. It took me about 15 minutes to assemble. You might want to get rid of the nylon magazine catch. I'm really useless.
