Two chains were used to light standalone booths (powered directly from a 12v battery) and they are excellent. They provide an amazing amount of light, enough for general ambient lighting in the cabin (imagine a single garland would adequately illuminate 400 square feet and the bulbs look nice. Although not exposed to the weather for my current use, the plugs included are well sealed and fit snugly and can easily be switched to 12vdc from the supplied transformer (120Vac -> 12vdc) The cables are well insulated and should hold up well deep discharge not charging locally so the performance is so clean as it goes so far i have had to replace 5 bulbs on 2 strings as they started flickering/out still seem to be well made just not the right bulbs.
