I like the long cord. I use it in my trailer and the light comes in handy for less well lit areas. For a 12 volt device, the suction power is good for picking up everything and removing dust from things. When the lint is stuck to the carpets, the brush at the end of the used material loosens it and sucks it up. Haven't tried it with liquids yet, but it seems to have enough power for that. I would probably use paper towels first for the spots I could get my hands on. Once you become familiar with it and how it's disassembled, it should be easy to clean and reassemble. I thought the amount of noise it made was pretty standard, not very loud, and it doesn't look like it's working too hard. I love it and I recommend it.
