Affordable and accurate, ideal for hobbyists or professionals.

I didn't expect much from it. As a trained mechanic and with quality calipers and micrometers I knew better but they really are great. They are great for household and hobby use, I would even use them in a machine shop as any locksmith knows that even expensive German tools need frequent calibration. This is an easy way to get accurate measurements around your home for repairs or hobbies rather than fiddling with a ruler when precision or small measurements are needed. Yes, they're plastic jaws, but even metal jaws are soft metals, because if you're using enough force to scratch or scar your jaws, you're doing it wrong. Plastic sponges are a plus in my opinion, they allow you to work on soft materials such as aluminum, gold, silver, wood, plastic, wax or any other soft material without fear of scratching, since you close the first jaw on any caliper have to. and zero it, then you can use it. The reason I bought them was because I needed my wife's pupillary distance or pupillary distance and I was a bit wary of getting the sharp metal jaws closer to her eyes. For this purpose it worked great. For the price and accuracy you can't beat the price, they are great. Also for those who are wondering, with larger jaws you measure the outside diameter, with smaller jaws you measure the inside diameter. With a step at the end of the caliper measure the depth, e.g. B. the depth of a hole. Will I recommend it? You bet I would.

Pros
  • ENERGY SAVING: Automatic charging when removed, automatic shutdown when the device is idle. It could be zero anywhere.
Cons
  • Big and clumsy
