I did a little research on the switches before buying and I have to say luck played a part too (there were very few reviews for one such article). I really like this switcher, I'm a developer and have a dual install of Windows Tower/Macbook Pro that I have to switch between frequently depending on what I'm working on. I connected the DVI from the switch to the HDMI connectors on both machines and monitors, which worked fine. There are also some good cables included. Switching is pretty quick and this thing really does the job.
