A fatal error renders this item unusable
I bought three of these and they are useless. Why? Because the illuminated part has a diameter of 180 degrees. This means that the light not only hits the painting, but also the wall above the painting and the eyes of everyone standing in front of the painting. If you have a glossy frame, the light will bounce off it too. This is one of the dumbest designs I've seen, which is a shame as the rest of the device is pretty well thought out. It has a good remote control with good options and is easy to install. Very disappointed.
