I bought this bassinet before my second son was born. I was looking for something safe for the baby but easy to move around the house. My first son is only a year old so I wanted the baby to be out of a one year old's reach but still close to us. I also wanted something for the baby to lie on, loungers made me very nervous. This product is amazing for that! This easily became my favorite baby product purchase I've made for one of my children! I wish I had it for my first. It is very well made and strong. You can definitely carry your baby around without feeling like the baby is about to fall out (with careful carrying of course). The 'mattress' part of the carrycot has two sides - one side is very hard, like a plank, but we use the other, softer side - it's still firm and offers great support. It's also super adorable! I love dino spikes. This is a must see, especially if you have older kids!
