Serious design flaws

Firstly, I'm a fan of Bodum products. I have been using their products for many years. However, I bought this model from a general store when I needed it in an emergency. I usually use the Brazilian model but bought it because it was the only one available. I immediately noticed that it was overdesigned and had too many moving parts. Cheap quality plastic frame and spout mechanism. I can live with it. But here's the main downside: the glass carafe dangles in the frame. NOTHING prevents the glass from slipping out. After a few uses I cleaned the press in the sink and turned it upside down and the carafe slipped out of the frame and broke slightly. I have no plans to change the carafe and go back to the Brazilian model.

Pros
  • All parts are dishwasher safe
