Review on 🌿 API ALGAEFIX Algae Control: The Ultimate Solution in a 16-Ounce Bottle by Faith Miller

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Read this if you want to kill algae and not your fish.

Kills algae. Kills fish if used incorrectly. I have found that it is best to use 1/4 dose and dilute the dose with at least 1 gallon of water before adding to the aquarium. It was successful. I forgot to dilute the same dose of seaweed fix after a water change and all the little fish that came to watch and thought I poured a treat or something good were all spooked (killed). This thing killed them in a few minutes and some in 10 hours. Anything over 1/3 or 1/4 the dose produced poor results. Ignore the directions on the bottle if you want your fish to live, of course they want you to pour more. Always mix it with at least half a gallon of aquarium water to dilute in smaller tanks like 10 or 20 gallons. In large aquariums I always dilute with about a gallon of water. Processing: After a water change, I process 1/4 of the dose, then I wait 3 days. You may barely notice the algae dying (difficult to notice), start treatment again at 1/4 dose and after another 3 days you should see a noticeable difference. I treat a maximum of 3 more times before I change the water again. It will also prevent all of your good bacteria from dying, which leads to a massive release of ammonia and could kill your fish much sooner. I am a seasoned fish lover and now have 9 aquariums. This is how I control algae and keep the fish alive. It is poison if used incorrectly. Be careful because if you use just one too many you can be very sad to see the directions given can be fatal to many species of fish.
