Tried many adapters and none of them allowed the mic to work with my Air Pod Maxes. It worked flawlessly and the microphone quality is very good. The sound might not be the best, but it's not bad either. The range is AMAZING. I have an old house with brick inside and I was able to move out of the attic where it connected to the basement with no problem. It also automatically connects to my trebles as soon as I plug it in, which is nice as I don't have to fiddle with the pairing once installed. It wasn't until I started going out that I had problems. I also noticed that the picture of the AirPods Maxes is even on the box, so it's safe to say they had them in mind. I've had the adapter for a while now and it works great with no issues and is also good for movies or just watching TV when you need quiet audio. For me it's perfect and exactly what I was looking for until Sony allows Apple products to connect via Bluetooth and work properly.
