I never thought that any of these would be useful to me. I have a RotoZip, a power grinder, a vibratory cutter and more. I have to say I haven't used these since I bought them. I'm just an amateur so it's no big deal. I cut the washers in two, cut the 1 inch rod in two. Sanding down screws and nails so they don't stick out of my woodworking projects, trimming screws and rods that are too long, and I can't think of more. I have some tools from the M12 tool line so batteries have never been an issue. Speaking of which, keep a few charged because they drain the battery, but I'm just a hobbyist so I don't mind. I use safety goggles when sanding, but I also have a small piece of plexiglass that I hold between myself and the workpiece to deflect the chips. It helps a little. I was pleasantly surprised at how strong it really is.
