Power switch with built in pilot light does NOT light up in the ON position! The indicator light only works if the overvoltage protection has tripped. I bought this power strip for the price and the 2100 joules surge protection is a lot for the price. I totally missed the picture where I talk about what the indicator light works for. Everyone wants to see at a glance that the power is on/off. For a small price you get a very cheap and light construction bar. I bought it for a home-made network center for powering devices, it can withstand it, it can't. I will either add the power indicator myself or use it for less critical decisions. used and bought a better power strip with the light on.
