Useful little soldering can. It heats the solder quickly and does its job while staying hot. A full cold pot of eutectic solder melts in just a few minutes. The wide neck at the top makes it easy to remove scale from the surface. The only downside is that the dial gauge (potentiometer) scale doesn't really tell you what's going on with the temperature, you just have to guess. Also the gold tint (probably titanium oxide coating) of the crucible seems to wear off along with the solder. As I filled the pot piece by piece, I noticed a golden tint to the early slag, which may just be due to the coating on the pot. Not too much of a problem as the pot stays full and I'll never see the actual surface of the pot again.
