I was looking for a system to protect my Apple MiniPad and Asus Nexus 7 tablets at a reasonable price. I use my Nexus 7s and iPad Mini to get aviation information while flying an airplane. I tried ditching some of the cockpit attachment systems and then started looking for a knee pad that would fit me. I have two expensive cockpit mounts (RAM and one more) and four leg mounts (a high-tech OttoPilot system that was too tall, a conventional clip-on kneepad that was problematic, a HeliPad kneepad that was too complicated, and yet run through one ) . one with its own case designed specifically for the MiniPad) all more expensive than AppStrap) before I found it. I've also tried simply resting the tablet on my lap, but sometimes that slipped out, especially in turbulent conditions. - harness systems. This adds an extra step to the preflight and leaves the device open at least for a while. Unfortunately, as the three friends pointed out, during this short time, the pills are likely to be thrown as you get on and off the plane. With AppStrap I don't have to remove thick armor from my device; The AppStrap just snaps quickly right over the protective cases. It's also flexible; It fits both Nexus 7 (2012 and 2013), iPad Mini, my Nexus 9 (no case yet) and my 10 inch Samsung tablet with or without cases. On all but the ten inch I put clips on the ends. On a large one, they go to the sides. (It's too long to fit on my 6.5 inch HTC One Max phablet though). 90 degrees from normal. The wedges allow you to tilt it if needed. Oddly enough, the strap that attaches to the tablet also allowed my tablets to be attached to an expensive mount I bought that only holds the MiniPad and only when I remove the cover. I just stuck a couple of strips of self-adhesive Velcro to the front of the mount to attach the tablet to the clip-on strap on the yoke mount. My only complaint is that the AppStrap is a bit overpriced for what it is - a bit of mesh, a bit of stretch, a strap to wrap your foot, a Velcro strap, two small wedge pads, two plastic clips, and a plastic buckle. However, it doesn't seem too expensive as it's the second one I've bought.
