I use Jabra products almost every day and have the 65t Elite Sport and 75t Elite as a reference. Sound: The sound quality is roughly the same as that of the 75t. That said, solid 4/5, the bass is pretty decent but when you listen there's distortion and muddyness. I can pretty much ignore that since I mainly use it at the gym. Reception: Phone reception (I carry mine in my left front pocket) seems to be a bit better, but it still gets interrupted sometimes, for example when I lean forward to tie my shoes. It's still master/slave, with R being the master. Oddly I had a left 75t at the same time as the R 85t and they paired and synced, although the 75t sounded louder (maybe a better seal). Form factor: The case is slightly larger (mostly taller) than the 75t but keeps the same shape, probably for Qi charging. The LED indicator is now on the front panel. The earbuds themselves are also slightly taller, probably to make room for the ANC and additional microphones, but other than protruding about 2mm more out of the ears, that's not a problem. The earcups are now oval which is my biggest disappointment as I couldn't fit as snugly with the largest earcups as I could with the 75t. Pushing and turning the 85t harder didn't help. The 65t had a different form factor and made for a good seal, but the large footprint became uncomfortable after a while. Hold: With a short run and a slight shake of the head, I couldn't get them out of my ears, but I can't feel them. as sure as the 75t (probably without a good seal) I carried on an open-faced motorbike. ANC: The noise-cancellation is noticeable, but again, due to the lack of a tight seal, they're only marginally better than my 75t, which now has *some* ANC but also offers passive noise-cancellation. Call quality: Slightly better than 75t. I give credit for the additional microphone and dedicated ANC. Overall: I would give the 85t 3.5 stars. -1 for which (me and my ears) are missing a new form of pads. Mine, while they haven't fallen out as I move, I can sometimes hear outside noise as they move in the ear and it seems like bigger spikes are harder to get due to the out-of-round shape. -0.5 for the fact that I don't think the cost is higher than 75t which can be bought cheaper for $70 and offers most of the same features and could be better for some due to its standard shape.
