We had a flood in our office and the Tripp Lite Surge Protector was on the floor so it was grounded and completely melted. But we didn't have a single problem with any electrical devices connected to it! So I bought another one to replace it and I will never use another brand. I just wish they had shorter cords as that's a lot of cord to keep under the table. But we learned a good lesson: try installing a surge protector instead of leaving it on the floor! UPDATE: We sent a picture of the melted protector to Tripp Lite to thank them for a great product. They replied that we were entitled to a new one under our warranty and although we didn't check and couldn't give them any information about the old one (we threw it away during the flood clean up) they sent a brand new one which arrived today! Like I said, I won't buy any other product. This is the only company that truly stands behind their products. Thank you Triplight.
