Installed them on my Ultra Limited in 30 minutes. The first thing I noticed after installing it was the low ride height. By lowering the rear end, which is very heavy on my bike, the bike immediately became less "wobblyโ at low speeds and stops. Obviously this would be more beneficial for people with vertical disabilities. When it comes to riding a bike with shocks built in, there were two things that bothered me. The first is comfort, the second is performance. As for comfort, I was unhappy with the constant sag of the stock air shocks, even when set to max pressure. While I haven't tested them often, from what I've heard they lose pressure within a few days/rides. Judging by the travel feeling, both with and without a passenger, this seemed to be true. The progressive dampers have an adjustment that makes them softer/stronger. I'm 220 pounds with a 34 inch inseam and have to unbolt the shocks all the way. If I were to buy them again I would most likely go for the Heavy Duty version of these shocks. Progressive recommends the Heavy Duty version for riders over 230 pounds. My long leg length shifts my weight quite far back, which puts more stress on the rear shocks. With the new shocks, sag is almost eliminated, small bumps are usually not even felt, especially when I soften the settings, but sag is becoming more common. The second aspect was performance. You won't handle your 900-pound bike like the R1, but the improvement is huge. Unfortunately, standard air shocks were also missing in the performance department here. I don't know if the improvement is due to the lower ride height or the dampers, but whatever the cause, high speed corners and tight corners inspire a lot more confidence than stock dampers. I once had the opportunity to ride 350 miles quite aggressively, the bike was predictable and never blew a corner. They would get 5 stars if it was clearer who should get Heavy Duty and who should get Standard Duty. Although my weight is less than recommended for Heavy Duty shocks, my long leg length puts my weight on the back of the bike, so Progressive needs to take this into account when recommending a specific product. two days.
